Congratulations! You've been selected to take part in aMurder Mystery. we know you're very happy to hear that,but that you're also wondering, "What, exactly.IS a MurderMystery？"" lt 's all very simple - during a Murder Mystery,you take on the role of a character who is neck-deep in anunfolding, twisted plot... A Murder Mystery could be des-cribed as a mix between ClueTM and a play.

You will take ona role (like an actor) and you will take part of an investiga-tion which intends to, among other things, unmask a killer(like in ClueTM).Tonight,the character you will play will beinvolved in a story with doctors, surgeons, brotherhood, andhostage situations...

lt's up to you,as well as the other players，with the help ofthe organizer. to breathe life into the scenario which weoffer you and which we dearly hope you will enjoy.

The clues

Aside from the information that other players give you.youwill have other ways of getting clues which will help youprogress in your investigation. Some of thesc clues are tobe found in one of the rooms which can be rcached fromthe hospital's ground floor,other are hidden in more subtleways.. . To find these clucs, you will have to use the AP sys-tem described below.

Realism and simulation

For the whole night, you will be barred in (held hostage) at theemergency ward of Detroit 's Brighton Hospital (one of the bestemergency wards in the country).Of course. you can read thiswhole scenario as bcing serious (and believe me, thc authorsintended it to be played in a serious manner).but vou could iustas reudily turn this into a parody of a soap opera, if vou prcfer.T here's nothing keeping you from turning the intensitv up te l1and letting the players give off deep, intense glares to one ano-ther. The only thing that matters is that everyone agrees on thetone of the evening and that everyone has fun. We can 't stress itenough - the important thing is for everyonc to have fiun.
